ONTARIO HAMFEST 2008 REPORT Norm Freidin VE3CZI

Ontario Hamfest 2008 held on Saturday July 12/08 is now a memory.

The members of the Burlington Amateur Radio Club, sponsors of this 34th year event, would like to express our
sincere appreciation to ALL Vendors and Buyers who braved their way through the Fog to attend this yearly event.
We have only had rain TWICE in the 34 years of this event, and I will "not" count that short 3 minute sprinkle we had on Saturday as "rain"! The day progressed into a nice day for an outdoor Fleamarket and from the comments I've been receiving, there is a consensus that everyone had a good time. Should anyone have any comments to improve the event, we would be most pleased to hear from you. At this time ONTARIO HAMFEST will be held again next year at the same location.

The Hamfest Committee would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Ontario Swap Shop and
The ONTARS 75M NET for their promotion of the event, along with all the other events they promote.
Our sincere appreciation to Radio World for their continued support of Ontario Hamfest and the others they support.

As Coordinator of the Inside Vendor Tables for Ontario Hamfest, I would appreciate your considering sending in your registrations for tables when I send out my usual broadcast Email to all vendors of the previous year...usually just after Fergus Fleamarket in June. Of course we will be distributing our flyers at prior Fleamarkets. Numbers are not final yet, but attendance for the Ontario Hamfest 2008 was about the same as last year....can still justify having another one next year !
